Scandiavian Journal of Public Administration

The Scandinavian Journal of Public Administration (SJPA) publishes four issues per year, presenting articles on public administration with perspectives from political and management studies, economics or law studies. SJPA aims to:

  • welcome interdisciplinary and innovative articles that highlights relevant and contemporary problems in public administration.
  • be read by scholars as well as practitioners with an interest in public administration in the European, national, regional or local level
  • encourage pioneering research in order to improve the understanding and deepen the knowledge for the public administration practice in Scandinavia and elsewhere
  • strengthen the public administration networks, regarding theoretical as well as practical knowledge
  • encourage pluralistic methodological approaches

SJPA welcomes papers and book reviews; submission online on SJPA.gu.se. All articles are subject for a double-blind peer review process. Our aim is to give a publishing decision within six months from the first submission of the manuscript. SJPA provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
