Accredited by EAPAA

The Master of Science Programme in Public Administration is since October 2002 accredited by The European Association for Public Administration Accreditation (EAPAA).

EAPAA was founded in 1999 to develop and maintain a system for the voluntary accreditation of academic public administration programmes in Europe. The international recognition by peers is an important assurance for the quality of a degree programme.

Master of Public Administration (MPA) is a common education around the world. In Europe there are a couple of hundred educations within Public Administration. The Master of Science Programme at University of Gothenburg is the only Swedish MPA programme, which is accredited.

The EAPAA accrediting process is an assessment by large amount of criteria, which has been decided by the board of EAPAA and its members what is good european standard of an academic public administration programme.

The accreditation is an evidence that the programme has a high standard according to its contents and pedagogics, teaching competence, administration, internship placements, student service, libraries and teaching premises.
